Passenger train (Flat wagon H No 2522)
Swiss West company OS 1858 1:10 scale model
A horse-coach train from the beginning of the railway era
For the new cross-country line to be built, the Swiss West company, based in the canton de Vaud, ordered a modern fast train locomotive in Paris that was proudly named Liberté et Patrie. The coaches were obviously derived from the horse-coaches. The closed compartments could, with the exception of the saloon, only be accessed from the stepboard on the side. The 2nd class carriage was the first double-decker coach in Switzerland.
