Driving trailer C4 No 25
Jungfrau Railway JB 1954 1:10 scale model
The high mountain railway
The railway leading to the highest situated train station in Europe was always operated by three-phase current. The growing rush to the Jungfraujoch required a renewal of the vehicle stock in the fifties. In 1955, the Jungfrau Railway replaced its locomotive-pulled trains by modern rack railcars. They stood out for their lightweight-metal construction with light passenger compartments and large windows.
