Tractors and clutch problems
In 1958, Ferruccio Lamborghini buys his first Ferrari, which is followed by two others. Common to all of them are problems with the clutch. Approached on this issue, Enzo Ferrari reacts furiously, saying that the tractor manufacturer Lamborghini has no idea how to drive a Ferrari and that he doesn't need any advice from him.
Sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese
Lamborghini decides to build better sports cars than Ferrari and in 1963, he presents his first model, the 350 GT. With the presentation of the Miura at the Geneva motor show in 1966, he becomes world famous overnight.
A milestone in the designing of motor cars
In terms of the technical design and shape, the Miura signals the beginning of a new era. It is regarded as the first "super sportscar" in the world. Although not involved in motor racing, the Miura incorporates numerous technical features originating from the world of motor sports, first and foremost the centrally mounted engine.
