Allegro 175 cm³ Sport, 1927
Arnold Grandjean was a well-known racing cyclist and won the Swiss championship four times. From 1923 to 1943, he and his four brothers ran a bicycle factory in Neuchâtel, where the legendary Allegro bikes were manufactured. Grandjean is also considered the developer of the successful Allegro 175 cm³, on which he himself competed in various races. He also rode the 175 as a sidecar with his wife as his passenger. Allegro motorcycles were equipped with engines from Villiers (2-stroke), MAG and Sturmey-Archer (4-stroke).
The Allegro 175 cm³ appears in the Klausen race rankings for 1925, 1926, 1927, 1929, 1930, 1932 and 1934.
