Homebuilt aircraft such as the “Pou du Ciel” failed to gain acceptance as a popular aircraft. The Bücker 133 “Jungmeister” training and acrobatic aircraft was built in Switzerland under licence. The Messerschmitt Bf-108 “Taifun”, a four-seat all-metal sport and utility aircraft that still has a modern appearance today, dates from 1937, when aviation was still using biplanes such as the K+W C-35 and De Havilland DH-89 „Dragon.
