Swiss satellites
SwissCube is the first satellite to be built entirely in Switzerland. The 10 cm square cube is a joint development by Swiss universities; it is launched into orbit from India’s Sriharikota rocket launch centre on 23 September 2009. A similar small satellite is launched at Sriharikota on 12 July 2010: this one is entirely developed and built by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Italian Switzerland (SUPSI).
